All the J Dilla tracks come from either the ‘Donuts’ album (Feb 2006 – Stones Throw Records) or ‘The Shining’ album (Sept. 2006 – BBE Records). As you may know J Dilla passed away in February of 2006, 2 days after the release of ‘Donuts’. He was an icon not only in the Hip Hop community but in the music community in general and his music still lives on today through the releases (or re-releases) of his music (The Shining, Ruff Draft, Jaylib-Champion Sound, Jay Loves Japan, Jay Deelicious, and Dillagence). Pick these albums up.
